Whiskey is a type of distilled alcoholic beverage made from fermented grain mash. Different grains are used for different varieties, including barley, malted barley, rye, malted rye, wheat, and maize (corn). Whisky is aged in wooden casks, made generally of white oak, except that in the United States corn whiskey need not be aged. It was consumable in Mafia II and became one of the primary plot in the storyline of Mafia: The City of Lost Heaven.
Mafia: The City of Lost HeavenEdit
Though it was not consumable in gameplay, it became one of the game's primary storyline in the game. It first appeared in A Trip To The Country where it is supposed to be illegally imported from Canada. Tommy and Paulie were supposed to pick up the shipment however they lost it when they were ambushed by private detectives hired by Morello.
Paulie buys a truck full of Kentucky home brewn whiskey from William Gates at the mission A Great Deal. Though it was later revealed that the whiskey shipment actually belonged to Morello that was stolen by Gates.
Whiskey found in Mafia II is of the Humphrey Whiskey brand. It can only be bought at bars. Like all consumables it restores Vito's health. In the game it's 43% alcohol stronger but cheaper than brandy.
