Don Sal Gravina was the Don of the Gravina crime family. He first appears in The Betrayal of Jimmy, and his last appearance is in Jimmy's Vendetta.

Background HistoryEdit

Sal Gravina, also known as "Big Sal," was the Don of the Gravina crime family. He, along with Tam Brodie and Judge Hillwood, set up Jimmy in The Betrayal of Jimmy, leading to Jimmy taking revenge on him when he escaped from prison by destroying Sal's business and killing his best men. In the mission The Don, Sal took refuge at the lighthouse in the docks; however, Jimmy was able to track him down. After he fought his way through Sal's guards, Sal was killed by Jimmy, bringing the end of the Gravina crime family.

• He owns a house in Highbrook which belonged to Leone Galante in Mafia II.
• He is briefly seen in The Betrayal of Jimmy playing the piano in his mansion.
• A man who shares the same character model as Sal is seen in Mafia II in the mission Stairway to Heaven.
• His name is a clear reference to former Gambino crime family consigliere Sal Gravano.
• When you got to kill Sal in the mission The Don, he looks nothing like you are ordered to kill. The model is the same one as Ettore, also used for Judge Hillwood.
