  • I finally figured out how to do that, with the help of the video linked in the other thread. After you're prompted to enter Sammy's, you have to follow Donovan as he drives to the motel. When I just did it he got out and stood frozen, not sure if that's always the case though. Then I shoved him into the water using a car, and after the car crashed in the water I slowly pushed him the rest of the way. When he got all the way in he thrashed around in the water for a few seconds, and then disappeared and I got the mission failure for killing him.

It seems more like a bug to me, and my guess is that it's not supposed to happen, as he's invincible elsewhere, and they only made that cutscene in case he somehow gets killed, or perhaps they originally intended for it to be an option.

    • My guess would be that they originally intended Donovan to play a larger role that would allow him to be killed, or maybe it was added as part of the Stones DLC before they made him invincible. Either way, it seems more like an exploit, so I removed the reference from the other pages and left it as a trivia entry on Donovan's with further clarification.

    • I added that to the Thicker Than Blood page too.

Speaking of Stones Unturned, Donovan will say some of the same stuff he says in the DLC, if you take him into combat during that chapter, as by going to a racket location. There's also some stuff he can say that I haven't heard anywhere else, as when he gets injured.

  • I would like to know why my edit was reverted. I can understand if it may have not suited the article, but I'd prefer if you gave an explanation as to why. I would not like to cause a fight between us, I'm just curious.

    • The information you added about Donovan's testimony is considered part of the Lincoln Clay documentary and not part of the storyline for the mission, so it isn't included in the epilogue portion of the narrative.

  • Hi, I've recently been looking through the wiki when I found this article about the endings for Mafia III. Frankly, it's in desperate need of fixing, so I hoped to go in and edit it myself. However, it appears that it's locked. Do you plan on editing it anytime soon, because it's been nearly a year since there have been any edits. If not, could you at least unlock it so some changes could be made?

    • We will give it a look when we have time, but we have no plans to unlock that page. People have far too many opinions on the various endings, and it would be nothing but constant changes as everyone added their two cents into it. It's also formatted so the content can be transcribed into other pages where it's needed, and there's too great a chance of people breaking that if edited by those who don't know what they're doing.

If you have any specific points you would like addressed, feel free to mention them.

My main problem, as another user described it, is that it copies so directly from the scripts of each ending. It makes reading rather confusing, as it goes from the direct and clear style of writing you'd normally expect from a wiki article, to a more expressive/casual style of writing, using the figurative and folkish language from the game and messing with the point of view of the article. It also makes the article feel unfinished, like these were notes scrabbled together to form the base of an article.

P.S. I'm sorry about deleting that. I wanted to remove my post since I thought it was redundant (Plus it was improperly signed).

    • Well, it's supposed to copy the ending scripts, those are the ending. However I'll have Q look at the overall grammar and language and see if he can clean it up.

  • Hello mate. What do you know about the Mafia IV Game ? I don't know, what that game will release in the year, by 2020 or 2021, beacuse the Mafia III is released in 2016, nearly two years ago, now it's 2018, next year is 2019, and two years will be 2020, and the Mafia IV is not released yet. So, do you know about that game, what year will be released in ?

  • Have you ever unlocked a betrayal mission after taking territory away from an underboss on only two occasions? I think you might have said you've done that once, but I can't remember now. The reason I'm asking is it's always taken me at least three sitdowns to get an underboss to turn. If that's always the case then I'll update the relevant pages to reflect that.

    • It really depends on the other variables, like doing their agenda and trafficking missions. If you don't do any of those they'll do it after two. It may also depend on how may rackets you took at the sitdown, taking one versus two away. Vito and Cassandra seem to turn easier than Burke too.

    • I guess it can happen after two if you previously did not give them anything in several districts. However, it doesn't seem to be possible to trigger betrayal after only two sitdowns.

    • Actually, it's possible for them to turn after taking territory away only once, if you previously didn't give them anything three times in a row.

  • Like i wrote the article, I could try to give some explanations of my modifies to you (and excuse me for my English).

Braxton Harless never founded the cult. Father James says to Lincoln that the Ensanglante date back to the first settlers, who arrived in the now-city of New Bordeaux in search of a new beginning, but the found only death. Some settlers so adopted unethics practices like human sacrifice, a thing that always concerned Lincoln. Braxton Harless was surely a cult member and maybe leader, like we see in the photos that Lincoln find Nuit Blanche's undergrounds (Braxton Harless is in a confederate uniform, next to a black man tied to a Pere Sanglant's idol). In a note of 1916 that I found at Harless Mansion (if I remember), Winifred Harless complain Braxton's death to her mother, saying that the mansion will be sell and they will move in a new "home". Like the arson at Opera House was realized 50 years ago (according to Father James) by black man tired by city's hard racism and persecution against the blacks, and after this event the Ensanglante disappeared from city to seek refuge in the Bayou until present days (1968), I have deduced that Braxton Harless, with other high acolytes and members of city's white elite, died in the arson. It's implicit that Bonnie and his followers re-appear in New Bordeaux thanks young counterculture (Hippies etc.) and Lincoln's activities against Marcanos (the local police will be more focused on Lincoln's crusade against the mobs, ignoring the kidnapping and human sacrifice of poor black people)

Oh, I forget that. The Ensanglante also offer fruits and vegetables to their deity, like at Welty Storage, around the black man sacrificed there are fruits, one with the symbol of the Filth. There is also a rum bottle, and Lincoln says that it is like voodoo offers. On The Blessed, I can't effectively says if he/she is the messiah-like of Pere Sanglant or the woman who will give birth to he/she, but in the Italian version of the game (yeah, I played it), The Blessed is referred to a female person, intending Anna McGee.
