- "This is our turf. And it's gonna cost you to operate here. Now pay up!"
- — Billy Barnes
Billy Barnes is a character in Mafia II. He is the leader of the Greasers street gang.
History[]
Billy is a former U.S. Army tank engineer.[1] On April 11, 1951, he and several other Greasers confront Vito Scaletta and Joe Barbaro, who were selling stolen cigarettes from a truck at a discount in South Millville, which happened to be turf belonging to the Greaser gang. An intense confrontation ensues where Joe refuses to take the truck and leave without payment, and Billy refuses to concede to the Falcone family's power after Joe offered to let him and his gang walk away if they left immediately. Billy has his gang torch the truck with molotov cocktails, and then Joe shoots him in the face with a 1911 Semi, killing him instantly in retaliation.
Vito and Joe then take his car and chase after the other greasers, but their hot rod truck proves too fast and they lost them. Afterwards Vito and Joe met up with Marty, Steve, and his crew to seek revenge on the Greasers at their base of operations, the Empire Bay Forge.
