Sergio Morello Jr. is a main character in Mafia.

History

He was the younger brother of Don Morello and the Underboss of the Morello Crime Family, Don Salieri's main adversary. In addition to his role as the underboss of the Morello family, he also served as the union boss of Lost Heaven's unions, especially the dockworkers' union and proved to be one of the family's most important key figures. He was responsible for ordering the hit on Salieri at Pepe's Restaurant with the help of Carlo, Salieri's driver, who informed him of Salieri's whereabouts. However the hit failed - all of the assassins were killed, and Carlo was eventually killed as well.

In 1935, Don Salieri ordered an assassination on Sergio in an attempt to weaken the Morello Family, but his uncanny ability to avoid death made it more complicated. He had evaded three assassination attempts, and as Salieri's patience ran out, he replaced his soldiers Tommy Angelo and Paulie and ordered two other Salieri associates to do the job, but eventually sent Tommy along to serve as insurance.

Death

As Salieri's men took control of the railway crossing, they awaited for Sergio's arrival. Sergio's limo arrived and the two Salieri associates pushed his limo into the train railway, but Sergio ordered his driver to drive, resulting in the two associates' car to get hit by the train. Tommy chased Sergio all the way to the docks, and then Sergio ordered his men to kill Tommy, but they were all killed. As Tommy entered one of the warehouses, he finally confronted Sergio and killed him. With Sergio's death, this caused the Morello crime family to lose many of their assets in Lost Heaven, marking the beginning of the family's downfall.

Sergio is generally considered to be the hardest Mafia character to kill in the game.
Given that Sergio Morello has been considered the brains and organization of the Morello crime family, he is likely Morello's counterpart to Frank Colletti.
Sergio's model is used in the cutscene of The Priest.
