A Racket Boss is the head of a criminal racket in Mafia III.
History[]
Each district of New Bordeaux except Bayou Fantom contains two rackets, each run by its own racket boss. When Lincoln Clay takes over a racket he may have the option of either killing the racket boss or recruiting them to work for him. Killing a racket boss will give Lincoln some cash on the spot, while recruiting them will raise that racket's total earn by a larger amount.

Trivia[]
- The first racket boss to be confronted, Merle Jackson, cannot be recruited.
- Another racket boss, Chester Moreau, also cannot be recruited due to his role as a human trafficker.
- The player must wiretap the sector of the district containing the racket in order to recruit the racket boss.
- There are two achievements involving Racket Bosses.
- The New Boss achievement requires the player to recruit all 16 Racket bosses in the game.
- The No Loose Ends achievement requires the player to kill all Racket Bosses in the game.
