Alberto "Berto" Grosanno, a veteran of the 17th Infantry, participated in the push into North Africa during World War II. He was a member of the Falcone crime family and was often the regular chauffeur for Don Carlo Falcone. He, along with Mickey Pietra, were killed by Frankie Potts in a popular Empire Diner after they caught Potts planting a bomb under Falcone's car, Frankie went on to pin the blame on Berto to appear to be the hero.

"A small time thief and bodyguard, Grossano's corpse is purpoted to have been found next to items used in the manufacture of home made bombs."
