Added by Marco AAn Airplane is a fixed wing vehicle capable of self sustaining flight, typically powered by either a rotary or jet engine. Airplanes appear in both Mafia: The City of Lost Heaven and Mafia II. They are inoperable vehicles in both games and only appear as scripted events.
Mafia: The City of Lost Heaven
Edit
- They first appear in Omerta at the Lost Heaven International Airport where they can be seen in hangars, on runways and in the air.
- Their second appearance is in Creme De La Creme where Thomas Angelo, Sam and Paulie shoot down Don Morello's airplane as it attempts to take off and escape Lost Heaven.
Mafia II
Edit
- In Mafia II they first appear in Home Sweet Home where a large formation of USAAF B-17 aircraft can be seen flying over Empire Bay as Joe Barbaro takes Vito Scaletta to Freddy's Bar in Little Italy.
- Later as Vito makes his way home after being dropped off by a taxi, two B-17 Flying Fortress' can be seen flying above.
- For the remainder of the game airplanes can be seen flying high above Empire Bay either alone or in formations of three.
